I haven't ordered my new work computer yet, so of course I don't have it, but when I do get it, I won't be allowed to install any software on it. That has to be done by the IT department. This is an alien concept to me. I've never not been in control of my computers at work. Each time I want something new installed, I'll have to call for help. I guess the idea is that the system will stay secure that way, although it seems a little more unfriendly than that. Maybe more like I'll just be using the computer temporarily.
