Bonjour Dell en France

this is a sponsored post

screens_1.jpgLes ordinateurs de Dell -- Dell Computers -- are sold in France on the French dell site, which is just as easy to use as the US Dell site, especially if you can read French. My French is a little rusty, but I can still find a deal on a laptop or a desktop on the site. If you are looking for a portable computer, Dell has a nice selection. I like the new Inspirons with a wide choice of colors and processors. Buy your next computer from Dell and you'll save money and still have a nicely styled machine which works in France or wherever you go, and those 15 inch Inspiron laptops start at 750 euros and you've got 8 colors to choose from.

Graveyard Mall

Graveyard Mall is like Woot. They sell one thing at a time at a nice discount. Today they had Under Armour Gear at low prices with $4.99 flat rate shipping. Great deals. Unfortunately, by the time I got there, they were all sold out. I'm going to check Graveyard Mall along with Woot now to see what kinds of deals are available.

Two defeats in soccer

We had losses in both soccer games for the first time this season. After our 2-0 defeat this morning in the cold and rain to the second place team, I was surprised we didn't get rained out in the second game. Unfortunately, we lost that one 4-0, with 2 cheapo goals among the 4. Not a good day.

Dell in the UK

Computers have many uses -- work, entertainment, communication, media production, gaming and more. A computer has become almost a necessity for most people, and for many, that means looking for cheap computers. Cheap doesn't always mean good, but in the case of Dell, you can get quality at a low price, so you'll be happy and productive at the same time. My Dell has lasted for 5 years so far and it's still popular in our house. For what we paid five years ago, you can get much more for your money today. Whether you need a laptop, a desktop or you want to buy computer peripherals like printers and hard drives, Dell is a great place to shop. Their online stores are easy to use and they've always got great deals. Sometimes I browse their online store just to see what kind of bargains I can find.

Rainy Day Soccer

It rarely rains in Temecula and I can't remember much rain at all during September in years past. It's raining today though, and our 8 AM game was played mostly in the rain and cold. It was less than 60 degrees during the game. The slick ball didn't help as many of the kicks didn't go far and there were some balls slipping through the goalie's hands. We suffered our first loss, 2-0. The game was close, with no score at halftime. The other team came through with a couple of goals in the 3rd quarter. One seemed to be helped by the wet ball and on the other one, it looked to me like an offsides call was missed. We didn't have many shots, and the other team played well. They will now move into first and we should drop down to 4th or so. It's a 10 game season and we'll be in the playoffs at the end, I'm confident.

Buy your next bedroom set from Furniturefromhome.com

this is a sponsored post

Furniture From Home is furniture you buy from home, not stuff that someone made in their home. The site has bedroom furniture, living room furniture, and dining room sets. They've even got some great home office furniture if that's what you need, including Classic Home Office Furniture. Their site is easy to use and they offer free shipping nationwide on every order, with white glove service and set-up, so all you have to do is pick out what you want and sit back. The website has lots of pictures of the furniture and a great selection, and from my experience, the prices are competitive. If you've got any questions, call Milan Rousset, who processes every order and posts his cell phone number on the website.

Some politicians are criminals

It seems like these guys who live in one town and claim to live in another town are everywhere in the Bay Area. If you really live in Oakland, why not say so? It's hard to find a place to live in Berkeley, but if you don't live there, you shouldn't pretend that you do. What's the problem with moving to the city you represent?

(09-21) 14:32 PDT OAKLAND - Berkeley rent board member Chris Kavanagh was hauled out of an Oakland coffee shop in handcuffs today and charged with fraud and perjury for allegedly claiming a false residence in Berkeley to hold office there.

Kavanagh, 49, was booked into the North County Jail in downtown Oakland on $100,000 bail, while Oakland police and Alameda County district attorney's investigators armed with a search warrant rummaged through his rented Rockridge cottage in search of evidence.

Alexa rating - how does that work?

While my Google page rank for my other weblog has stayed at 3, my Alexa rating has gone from 300,000 to 1,700,000. That's the wrong direction! I don't really understand the value of the Alexa rating at all. It seems to be pretty arbitrary or at least very misleading.

Barry Bonds moving on

It can't be any surprise that the Giants aren't going to sign Barry Bonds for next year. He broke the home run record while the team went down the drain, so they need to make changes. Barry would make a great DH in Yankee stadium, but since he lives in SoCal, maybe the Angels would like to have him. I don't know what other options he might have -- Detroit with Jim Leland. Probably not the Oakland A's.

Dell Computers - big everywhere, including Germany

Dell makes reliable computers which are a good value. I've got one for years and never had a single problem with it. It's easy to buy from Dell and they have a huge selection as well as very competitive prices, plus you can tell them exactly what you want and they'll put that together for you and ship it to your home or business very quickly. What more could you want from a personal computer? Although most people probably think of Desktops or laptops when they think of Dell, they also make servers, and printers, and you can also buy all kinds of other stuff like digital cameras and accessories, hard drives and more from Dell. I enjoy shopping on their site because it's easy to use and the prices are good.

Soccer photos using Polaroid theme

I set up a couple of galleries with the Polaroid theme (here and here). They look pretty good and it was easy to do. I'd like to customize it a little bit more but haven't had time to do that yet. A kitchen table background would be a nice change, I think, and I'd like to use a different font. I've changed the font but still looking for a formica desktop/wallpaper to use.

A stainless steel tool box will hold all your tools nicely

this is a sponsored post

The nice thing about stainless steel is that it lasts forever and is easy to clean and maintain. CarGuyGarage.com has a stainless steel tool box in a size that will hold all of your tools and help keep your work area neat and organized and looking good. Personally, I would like one of the red ones with casters so I could move it around my garage (once I get some room in there). A nice tool box like that would be a great asset.

Fun photo gallery

The Polaroid Gallery is a nice looking, interactive Flash photo gallery. It's pretty easy to set up and fun to use, although you'll need to have your own server and edit the xml file to make it work. It puts your images into a Polaroid looking frame and spreads them out on a wood-like background, as if they were laying on a table. You can move them around and click through them. Developed by Christopher Einarsrud, you can find it here.
