I made the mistake a few days ago of clicking on a YouTube ad for Tvidler, an ear wax removal tool. I was using my phone and decided to order 1 for $19.95 plus $4.95 shipping. I knew I should have checked amazon first. Of course, you can buy the same item for less there with no shipping charge if you have Amazon Prime. As I went through the payment screens, I started having doubts. When I got to a screen that said the company is in Lithuania, I turned off my phone. There had not been a confirm payment screen at that point, but apparently they had already processed the payment. I checked my bank account since I had used my debit card (big mistake). Tvidler had charged me for 4, not 1 - $64.91. I went to their website and requested they cancel my order. Then I called their customer support number to cancel. I spoke to Mary, who said she sent the cancellation request.
The next day, I got an email saying it was too late to cancel and the order had already been processed, even though the website says it takes 8-12 days to ship to the US. I emailed them again to cancel and I searched online and found that many others had ordered 1 and been charged for 4 and could not cancel. A great way to increase profits - overcharge your customers!
I sent a complaint to Google/Youtube about the ad and I posted a negative review on trustpilot.com If I can help 1 person avoid my mistake, then I will be satisfied. I will follow up if I receive anything from Tvidler. My suggestion is to avoid them because they will probably take your money.
