Many of them weren't good for technical reasons -- out of focus, missing heads, nothing interesting in the shot, etc. Loading all those bad images into either iPhoto or Lightroom is time consuming and slows down the whole process of working with the good shots. PhotoReviewer 2.1 is an application which is designed to solve that problem. I think we have 8 or 9 Macs although not all are in use any longer. My sons like to play Runescape on the PC, so one of them decided he wanted a laptop. The lowest end Macbook would be close to $1000 new, so that didn't seem like a good option.
